Small Hyth Place

Pamela Colman Smith’s mother died when she was 10 years old, and was separated from her father due to his work, she was taken under the wing of the Lyceum Theatre group in London led by Ellen Terry who was a leading Shakespearean actress.   Between 1900 and 1928 Ellen lived at Small Hyth Place near Tenterden, Kent, we know Pamela stayed at this house on many occasions and we believe may have painted some of the Rider Waite cards here.   The house is now owed by the National Trust.

The following video is a short momentum of a wonderful day.
